coaching rugby

a friend called me up to help in coaching a rugby team for a school around the area. i am committed to assist in any way especially after getting my level 1 IRB coaching certificate. Nowadays knowledge everywhere and abundance, you only need to look for it and enrich your self with it. IRB level 1 concentrates on how to get the message over to the players or trainees. To be able to make the players understand, what the coach is trying to coach. From my experience majority of the players do not really understand why such things are done in such a way. Its not their fault, its the coaches fault. In the course I learned a lot of push and pull methods, which is very useful to ensure players understand what are the trying to do . Currently i am putting a training plan by identifying the objectives to be achieve in training sessions. Slowly i am easing my self away from playing into coaching... though to be frank... i still love to play and work hard at it.
