There is a saying, " Failing to Plan is Planning to fail". Insurance agents likes to use this phrase, which is true. I was asked to step in to conduct a sessions for NSW due to the absences of the regular coach. I was quite nervous that morning, lots of ideas came rushing to my already clogged brain on drills. First i need to understand what is required and the objectives of the sessions. Identify what resources do we have currently, what we hope to achieve from the sessions. i broke the session into three parts according to skills and requirement. All these will be done in high intensity. Maybe conducting session for one of the best team frightened me or maybe because I wanted to do the drill together with boys, I called up for assistance. sure enough coco was willing to help. Now I can concentrate on doing the hard work as a player. Before the training starts, I discussed my plans with coco and he agrees to use the plan and improvise due to time factor. At the end of teh day, i was bumped out and happy as we had a good, intense and meaningful training sessions.
The previous night I watched the Stomers beat the Reds and it was exciting, especially with stormers' stiff defenses. Still could not believe why Luke Watson has not been picked as springboks. Maybe the sins of the father is still in the minds of the power brokers in boks rugby.
