Everybody woke up early this morning and we prayed fajr together. And together we had breakfast from the rendang mama gave last night. All of us went to the mosque to pray. There a lot of people from all walks of life, the bangladeshies, pakistanies, malaysian and indonesian. Truly a global affair. Me and the boys had to pray on the tarmac and there were no room in the mosque. We learnt from the previous years, and this time we brought our own prayer mats and it was shared with the other jemaah.. In the kutbah, the khatib stressed on the how should we celebrate eid. its a celebration of success for completing the fast, the win of nafs. I was told the by a friend that the way we celebrate now, its like celebrating the release of Syaitan from the shackles of Ramadan. Nauzubillah... may Allah protect us
After prayers, we when to have our pictures taken in the photo studio.., this traditions only started this year. Also this is the first time I wore a full suit Baju Melayu. The last time I wore one was the first year of marriage. My dearest wife insisted me wearing it, when we go out visiting..

Instead of going to Pak Teh's house, we picked up mama to Busu's place. The house brings a lot of memories.. Although the original house has been demolished, the place still brings memories.. this was the place I grew up.. to me, this is my kampung... the usual suspect was there as usual.. and as usual its lots of fun especially with busu and yeye around. June asked why do I give them, my aunties and uncles duit raya... I told her.. its not the amount that counts... they want me just to remember them... yup... all of them played apart in my growth.. each one had a special impact on my life. Being amongst cousins made me realise time moves very fast... it seems like only yesterday the cousins gathered at the same place collecting duit rayas.. from the auntie and uncles... I would not trait this memories for anything else...
